These next two photos (below) show a duck with a Red-winged Blackbird (male), both in flight, doing what a Red-winged Blackbird (male) does.
This next photo (below) makes me think about an expression I'd heard my Mom use a couple of times when I was growing up. She said it, in her Scottish accent/dialect, when feeling somewhat overwhelmed by some thing(s). "Mah heid's turnt" - meaning, My head is turned.
This immature Goose is looking on as if to say "Umm..everything okay there?" Yes, I can have a pretty wild imagination sometimes.
This next photo (below) shows a Canada Goose family being put on the run by one of the Red-necked Grebes. The Grebes approach, from below the water surface, when anything that appears to be sauntering in the near vicinity of their nest, and shoos them away.
About a half dozen times, or so, over the past few weeks, I've seen Ibises fly into, and around, the Marshall Springs ponds area to check it out, but I've yet to see one touch down and stay a while. This is the first semi decent picture (below) I've been able to capture of one of them flying around.
