It's really great that there are multiple ponds at Marshall Springs in Fish Creek Provincial Park. However, at times, it can be a challenge to know just what pond to be situated at when certain events occur. I've seen this Osprey come fishing here on multiple occasions. The whole event happens in less than one minute. The Osprey comes in from high above..does a circling pattern, or two, above a couple of the ponds..then quickly makes a decent to the selected pond of choice. I have yet to be at the right pond at the right time to see this clearly. Usually I see the decent at a large distance, hear a big splash (view obstructed by land and vegetation), then a short time later see the Osprey flying away with the catch..I have a couple of pictures of the flying away part from previous occurrences. This time I got a, quite distant, partially obstructed view of the event. The pictures aren't great as I had to crop them down 1 to 1..but at least it's something for now. I'll just have to keep trying for nice clear shots of this particular occurrence..but this is what there is for now.
