Captured the Crescent Moon (2.3%) rising over the Rockyview General Hospital in this one (below)..with plenty of Earthshine (ashen glow) :)

Along with the (planned ahead) Moonrise photo, I was at North Glenmore Park hoping to be fortunate enough to see some Loons to photograph in the nice early morning light while hanging around the water's edge of the Glenmore Reservoir on Saturday, September 24th, 2022. Well, unfortunately that didn't happen. I did however get to see these lovely colourful balloons (below) take to the air from across the Reservoir! Who doesn't like seeing Hot Air Balloons!? :)

This fellow (below) also seemed to be enjoying a very pleasant early Autumn Saturday morning at the park :)

Been fortunate enough to see a Deer (at least one) on every 3rd or 4th outing at the local Provincial Park..so a fairly common occurrence. A wee bit of patience involved in capturing this Mule Deer Doe portrait (below). Upon encountering this Doe, while walking a footpath, I saw this little patch of bright/vibrant orange leaves nearby (the only patch like it around)..wanted that as the foreground element first and foremost (for its colour), just to give the photo an Autumn vibe to it. I lined up with the colourful patch between myself and the three tree trunks you see as the background (they'd make a not too distractingly high dynamic range backdrop when lined up together just so..the gaps between the trees were very bright otherwise), then waited (about 4 or 5 minutes) for the Doe to make her way into position. I just made out like I was foraging as she was while waiting..she didn't seem the least bit bothered by me being there, within relatively close proximity :)

The Black-billed Magpie..a very common bird species around these parts. In fact, I see at least one pretty much everywhere I go these days..in neighborhoods, parking lots, City/Provincial Parks, and down by the river. Though abundant, I find them to be a surprisingly challenging bird species to photograph well. They just seem to have this way of always flying off at the last second before getting the shot off. Plus, with them having a black face and a white belly, getting the correct exposure of the photo can be a bit difficult. This photo isn't great, but I don't mind it..not thrilled about the chain link fence in there..still though, it is a true representation of this bird's urban habitat I suppose. Sometimes with wildlife you just get what you get lol. I like the Autumn vibe achieved, courtesy of a massive golden coloured Poplar tree, by aligning it as a backdrop just so (below) :)

I took these images (below) of the Downtown Calgary skyline (with some surroundings) around midafternoon on September 28th, 2022. Apart from the local haze, you really couldn't have asked for a much nicer early autumn day :)

I actually went to the location of the Crescent Heights Lookout Point on the evening of September 28th, 2000, hoping to catch the setting Crescent Moon reflecting off of the water's surface of the Bow River as it was setting. Well, the clouds had other plans preventing that from happening, but it was so nice to see folks still enjoying activities on the Bow River into the Autumn season :)
